About Me
A personal journey into balance, wellbeing and sustainable change
Michelle Arnell
Health & Wellbeing Coach | Accredited Menopause Lifestyle Coach
Hi, I’m Michelle.
I’m a Health & Wellbeing Coach and Accredited Menopause Lifestyle Coach, and the founder of Pause & Reflect, a space designed to support women, particularly in midlife and beyond, who are feeling overwhelmed, out of balance, or not quite like themselves.
Through a whole-person approach, I focus on the foundations that create meaningful and lasting change: nervous system regulation, rest, nourishment, movement and mindset.
My work is grounded in a simple belief: when we create space to pause, even small shifts can begin to ripple through every part of our lives.
How it used to feel
For many years, I was juggling work, family and everything in between, managing pressure, responsibility and the constant feeling of needing to keep going.
From the outside, I looked like I was coping. On the inside, I was running on empty.
Then midlife and menopause brought everything into sharper focus. Despite “knowing what to do,” I felt overwhelmed, exhausted and disconnected from my body.
What had always worked… no longer did.
A turning point
The harder workouts, stricter diets, and pushing myself further didn’t bring the results they once had. In many ways, they made things feel worse.
I began to realise that what I needed wasn’t more discipline, but a different approach altogether.
I started creating space. Learning to listen to my body. Responding with more compassion, and taking things one step at a time.
The changes didn’t happen overnight, but they felt more manageable and sustainable, and over time, they began to build.
What I’ve learned
Through this experience, I deepened my understanding of wellbeing, exploring areas such as sleep, mindfulness, longevity, and science-backed lifestyle approaches that support energy, resilience and long-term health.
Alongside this, I trained as a Health & Wellbeing Coach and Accredited Menopause Lifestyle Coach, so I could support others in a more informed and meaningful way.
I don’t have it all figured out all of the time.
But I’ve learned how to recognise those moments sooner, and how to respond differently, with more awareness, compassion, and the right support in place.
Because wellbeing isn’t a fixed destination. It’s something we come back to, again and again.
What I do now
Now, I support women, particularly in midlife and beyond, to feel more balanced, energised and in control again. This work is not limited to one stage of life. It’s here to support you, whether you’re in the midst of menopausal change or well beyond it.
Not through quick fixes, or doing more, but through small, consistent changes that build over time.
You don’t need to try harder. You need a different way.
If you’re feeling out of balance, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start, you’re not alone.
And you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
“I was really struggling with sleep and also not really being able to take time to think this stage of life through - so much to juggle and so many people commitments. Working with Michelle helped me find my direction, to ponder next steps and to have confidence that my physical and emotional symptoms aren’t made up and they aren’t insurmountable.”
